A Day For Reading Follower’s Stories Tanked
Medium Thought My Comments Were Stories
It was supposed to be a simple day set aside to read and comment on my follower’s stories. I prefer focused reading and commenting when I can fit it in. At about five that evening, I received a message on my Medium desktop, that I had exceeded my story submission limit for the day. Story limits ? Yes, I was confused. I hadn’t been writing stories that day. Then it dawned on me; my Chatty Kathy commenter tendencies had kicked in again.
I’m either, Chatty Kathy or — I Don’t Have Much To Say
That day — Chatty Kathy Commenter had struck again.
I sent an email to the convenient Medium email address on the screen. I’m pleased to be able to tell you that Medium’s trouble shooter support team responded within an hour. They apologized. The situation required human intervention to distinguish between valid comments written by that Chatty Kathy Commenter woman and actual stories meant for publication.
I had to retrace my comments to make sure each one left in limbo during my temporary suspension, was processed. It didn’t take too long. I am trying to be careful with my comments lately.
So if any of you have Chatty Kathy Commenter tendencies, be forewarned.
