When I was a teenager and first began experiencing strange symptoms, I spent a lot of time with an older gentleman neighbor, around the corner. He was very wise, and he had MS.

Mr. Busby was the husband of my mom’s regular card playing partner, Ms. Edie.

Mr. Busby and I spent many Saturday afternoons laughing and talking about life after my chores were done. We never talked about MS, just life. I think to Mr. Busby, MS and life were one in the same. After 40 plus years with MS, I would agree.

So, like Mr. Busby suggested, I will live my life in its fullness as much as I can — right along with the MS and it’s occasional temper tantrums.
