Our global honey bee population has been in serious trouble for years. They have been dying at an alarming rate. Their loss of stable habitat, widespread over-usage of pesticides, increased pollution, climate changes and other environmental factors; have made it more difficult for honeybees to keep up their regular, natural instinctive operations and maintain adequate defenses to guard their health and propagation. Without our help, worldwide honey bee populations could be wiped out and become extinct — with us not very far behind.

Artificial intelligence (AI)is being used more in our everyday lives. From the safety of cars to the diagnoses of diseases, AI is showing up everywhere and is becoming a welcome solution to many of our problems.

Can AI Help Our Declining Honey Bee Population?

In recent years, there has been a major decline in the global bee population. In just the United States alone, this decline has been attributed to colony collapse disorder. With a drop in population comes a drop in pollination and a decrease of food production.
