What is Multiple Sclerosis?

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a neurological condition in which the body’s immune system launches attacks upon itself damaging the myelin sheath surrounding the nerves in the brain and spinal cord; disrupting vital nerve signals and messages throughout the body.

MS is also classed as an autoimmune disease due to nature of the system attacks where antibodies are actively involved.

MS presents itself in the form of varying symptoms; these include but aren’t limited to a decline in mobility, muscle spasms, numbness, tingling, incontinence, sleep disturbances and cognitive difficulties.
